The mill known as "Mulino del Comune" ("Town Mill") is certain to date from before 1785, as it appears in the Boncompagni Land Register. Housed in an amply sized room, now used as a workshop, it used water from the Rio del Piattello.
It ceased operating in 1953.
Its name supports the assumption that it was a publicly run mill.
