Description:
The mill comprised no fewer than five grindstones, most of them made of rock originating from Sasso della Mantesca (a rocky outcrop); they are located in four buildings in succession along the Rio del Piattello, whose water they used along with that supplied by another stream, Fosso di Pian di Molina.
The date 1880 is engraved in a grindstone originally belonging to a mill in Pian del Voglio.
The equipment necessary for grinding activities is presently available and at least one of the grindstones would still be able to work.
