A recently made aedicula replacing a previous object destroyed by bombing during the Second World War in 1944.
The niche holds a ceramic plaque from Faenza with an image portraying the Virgin and Child, perhaps the Madonna of the Rock, framed by a floral decoration, and formerly placed in the destroyed shrine.
