Subject: Villages and Settlements
Toponym: Sadurano
Type: Settlement
Municipality: Pianoro
Locality: Livergnano
Description
Based on the few surviving original features, the settlement dates back to the 15th century, but a large part of the historical memory of that period has been lost.
It was subsequently modified to meet the continually evolving living needs, as occurred in the majority of historical buildings in the Apennines.
The projecting roof of one building was actually - in 1975 - a space closed off on three sides.
Against the background of the adjacent building it was completely coated with plaster and the perception of the stone masonry was lost as a result.
It lies in a place of significant value in terms of environment, landscape and geology, on a terraced slope with rock layers inclined uphill.
