Description

Building of 15th century origin, partly renovated with an extension that is wholly incongruous with the context.

The ground floor is in reality raised quite a bit above the ground level, and to provide access to the interior a new stone-clad stairway was built in a sort of recessed loggia, perhaps in recent years, as an addition to the original exterior.

Above, over the beam at the edge of the original floor, brick masonry was added, marked by two saw-tooth cornices.

On a side wall there is a window with jambs made of sandstone blocks and concave corbels - formerly part of an architrave of another opening - applied in a slipshod manner; a symbol deriving from that of the Comacine masters is sculpted in low relief in this block.

The low quality of the stone suggests that this object will not last for a long time.

Another similar window features an engraved Florentine fleur-de-lis on the architrave.
